Loading Type
Bottle Loading Type
Water dispensers are available with three bottle loading types: top loading, bottom loading, and external bottle connection. Top loading is the standard configuration, where the water bottle is placed on top of the dispenser. Bottom loading is a more modern design featuring a dedicated compartment inside the cabinet. The bottle is hidden within the unit, making replacement easier and more convenient. With an external bottle configuration, the bottle is placed separately from the dispenser and connected via a flexible hose.

Water dispensers with compressor cooling (similar to a household refrigerator) are more powerful and can cool water to below 10°C. Thermoelectric cooling uses a thermoelectric module based on the Peltier effect. Thermoelectric systems are less powerful than compressor systems. The cold water temperature is typically 12–15°C below room temperature.
